Hoop Camp Boot Camp
Yes, YOU can hula hoop!
Hoop Camp Boot Camp is a boot camp style workout that I’ve designed; its part fun, part workout, and part stress reducer!
Hoop Camp Boot Camp will deliver a tighter, stronger core, more toned arms and legs and a little lift in your gluts; oh, and did I forget to mention – lots of smiles (because your workout is meant to be FUN)!
How Hoop Camp Boot Camp came about…
Just 6 months ago I was hanging out with my friend Isa (who is also my poi teacher, www.templeofpoi.com). Within minutes of her giving me a few pointers I was able to keep the hoop up around my waist for more than 2 seconds (the average time it stayed up before)! Now I look like I’ve been hooping for a lot longer than a few months thanks to my hoop teacher, Miss Rosie, www.hooliehoop.com. After experiencing the exhilaration and fun of hooping I knew I wanted to bring it into my fitness classes.
We’ll provide the hoops, but you’ll need to bring/wear:
• A set of weights (5, 8, or 10 lbs. depending on your strength level)
• A yoga or workout mat
• Comfortable clothes and sneakers with good support
Hoop Camp Boot Camp for Moms
As a new Mom it is challenging to find time to care for you now that the baby has arrived, and yet it is so vital to do so in order to increase your energy levels, decrease depression, relieve stress, shed the pregnancy pounds and just feel good about yourself! Hoop Camp Boot Camp for Moms is designed with the new Mom in mind incorporating safe exercises into a boot camp style workout using the hula hoop and strength training. And one of the best parts – you can bring your baby to class so no need for child care expenses.
We’ll provide the hoops, but you’ll need to bring/wear:
• Comfortable clothes and sneakers with good support
• A pacifier (of whatever sort you wish) for your little one so you can get the
best workout possible!
Hoop Dance
Hoop Dance is a new style of dance where you learn technical hoop dance moves and incorporate them into your own dance style! The hoop becomes an extension of your body, and acts as a tool to bring your heart rate up, strengthen your core, arms and legs; all while having a blast!
Multi Level Drop-In Hoop Dance
This class is open to all levels to come learn new moves, drill those you know and take your hooping to the next level. We’ll have fun and get our bodies moving for a little cardio as we finish off the class with a 15-20 minute jam where you can get into your own hoop flow; no matter what level you are at today. It’s open on a drop-in basis, and space is limited.
We’ll provide the hoops, but you’ll need to wear:
• Comfortable clothes and sneakers with good support
Hoop Dance I
In this 4 week beginner hula hoop series, meeting once a week, you will learn basic hula hoop moves that will get you comfortable moving the hoop around your body and off of it, too. This class is a great way to unwind from the busy day, take a breath, smile a lot and get some great exercise. No previous hoop experience is necessary. Hoops provided.
We’ll provide the hoops, but you’ll need to wear:
• Comfortable clothes and sneakers with good support
Hoop Dance II
In this 4 week beginner-intermediate hula hoop series, meeting once a week, you will learn beginner-intermediate hula hoop moves that will advance your hoop dancing to the next level. This class is a great way to unwind from the busy day, take a breath, smile a lot and get some great exercise. Experience with basic hula hoop moves including push, lift, float down and wild west are highly recommended. Hoops provided.
We’ll provide the hoops, but you’ll need to wear:
• Comfortable clothes and sneakers with good support
